The mission of the Watonga Christian Church is to reach out and bring people to Jesus, help believers grow in their love for Him, one another and their neighbors to glorify God’s name.
Our Beliefs
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God who died for our sins and bodily arose from the dead. He is our only way to be saved. (John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
The Bible is the inspired word of God – “a lamp to our feet and a light for our path.” (Psalm 119:10; 2 Timothy 3:16)
Every person has worth as a creation of God in His image, but that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are only available to those who trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. (John 3:16-18)
Those accepting Jesus Christ through faith in Him must repent of their sins, confess their faith and be baptized (immersed) into Him. (Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9)
The church is the body of Christ on earth and exists to save the lost and edify (build up) the saved. (Ephesians 4:1-16)
Jesus Christ will one day visibly return for His people and reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
